Trista Gillespie has counted herself as an independent person her whole life. She was an only child, had her own job growing up and moved out of her parentâs house as soon as she turned 18. In August of 2009, Trista moved from Ft. Wayne, Ind. To Bowling Green Ky., with her 4-year-old daughter Janae. She moved from Indiana because Janaeâs father lived in Bowling Green. After she moved 6 hours away from home, Gillespie and Janaeâs father broke up. Gillespie is now 24-years-old. She lives with Janae in a two-bedroom townhouse that she says is not in the best part of town. — Trista Gillespie and her 4-year-old daughter Janae peer through the blinds of their 2-bedroom townhouse to look for the school bus to take Janae to preschool at 7:30 a.m.
